OVERVIEW:
Yucca filamentosa ‘Color Guard’, also known as Adam’s Needle, is a drought-tolerant, evergreen shrub that is native to the Southeastern part of the United States. Easily identified, the foliage of these plants is a deep green accented by a bright yellow stripe. In the colder months the leaves tend to have a tinge of red or pink. This moderately fast-growing plant is ideal for low water use landscapes that what a splash of color. Like most yuccas, its flowers attract insects such as butterflies and moths.
