OVERVIEW

Myrtus communis, also known as Dwarf Myrtle, is a low-growing, evergreen shrub that blooms white flowers in the Spring and Summer.  These plants grow to roughly 3 feet making them perfect for accents or small hedgerows.  Dwarf Myrtle has a rich history and is often used in European wedding bouquets.  It also contains high levels of salicylic acid, and expectorant, and can be used in a tea to help symptoms of the cold and flu.  Dwarf Myrtle also has anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, and astringent qualities and has been used to treat ailments ranging from respiratory problems to skin issues.
