Lornicera japonica

Hall’s Honeysuckle

OVERVIEW

Lonicera japonica, also known as Hall’s Honeysuckle, is a semi-deciduous (meaning it can lose its leaves in the coldest of Winters) plant that can be used as a screening or decorative vine and even a groundcover. This rigorous grower can reach heights and spread exceeding 10 feet and can be considered invasive if not cared for properly. Its green, glossy leaves are highlighted by aromatic white and yellow blooms in the Spring through the Fall.  The Lonicera japonica is also an excellent attractor of pollinators, such as hummingbirds, butterflies, and moths.
