Cochliasanthus caracalla
Snail Vine, Corkscrew Vine, Vigna caracalla
OVERVIEW
Native to South America, Cochliasanthus caracalla can reach impressive heights cresting 20ft. This showy, tropical vine is capable of thriving in both full and partial sun (with the correct amount of water and appropriate soil composition). Known for its shell-like flower, this variety produces a bouncy lavender bloom that retracts into a series of astoundingly beautiful spirals, a visual reminiscent of the Fibonacci Sequence. Its splendor is complimentary of any sub-tropical landscape.
